Here’s how Battle of the Bands works:

• Two bands will be featured each Friday night for twelve weeks. There will be a sneak peak of the bands performances on Friday Night during the End Zone. The schools are chosen in no particular order.

• The winning 12 bands that have been selected from the regular season will be grouped in fours for a semi-final competition. There will be three weeks of semi-finals, where 3 bands will remain in the competition.

• One last vote night featuring the 3 winning bands from semi-finals will be featured on a Friday, Sat and Sun and again our viewers will be asked to vote the following Monday to help select the winner.

• Viewers will be encouraged to visit wcbi.com beginning the Friday Night to vote on the featured bands of the week.

• The schools are announced on Friday Night during the End Zone. While we will make every effort to contact the schools ahead of time, the official announcement is the one made during that newscast.

• The voting runs from 10pm Friday until 5pm the following Monday.

• You will only be allowed to vote once each day in each contest. However, more than one person can vote on a computer as long as they have separate e-mail accounts. Users will be required to register. Minimal information will be required in order to become registered. We don’t want to make it too difficult for people to vote, but we feel we must have some form of registration to assure the integrity of the voting.

• We encourage each school and band booster club to get as many friends, relatives, and town residents to vote for them. Literally, anyone in the world could vote for your school! Good luck!
